WHAT IS A ZERO-RATED COUPON?

A Zero-Rated Coupon is a financial instrument that offers an interest return on a bi-annual basis. It matures either at year 15 or year 20.

THE CONTRIBUTION REQUIREMENT

Depending on the maturity period:

For a 20-year maturity, the initial contribution required is 10%.

For a 15-year maturity, the initial contribution required is 15%.

THE PURPOSE OF THE FINANCIAL INSTRUMENT

Once acquired, this financial instrument becomes an asset on your balance sheet and can be used to secure funding from banks.

The primary objective of the zero-rated coupon is to provide additional security to funders involved in property developments and construction projects, guaranteeing a return over 15 to 20 years.
